National Incubation Center Hyderabad Successfully Concludes Global Entrepreneurship Week Celebration

Hyderabad, 17th Nov — The National Incubation Center (NIC) Hyderabad, a Ministry of Information Technology & Telecom and Ignite-funded facility, proudly concluded its Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) on November 17th. The week-long event, commencing on November 13th, was marked by a series of engaging activities aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in the region.

The festivities started with a grand Opening Ceremony of GEW2023, led by the NIC Hyderabad Team and Project Director, Syed Azfar Hussain. The startup community and partners of NIC Hyderabad graced the occasion, commending the initiative to bring together the diverse facets of the entrepreneurship ecosystem under one roof.

Highlights of the week included the inauguration of the “Digital Transformation of Sindh” Program, along with insightful workshops on crucial entrepreneurial skills such as crafting a “Business Model Canvas.” A thought-provoking panel discussion on “Pathways to Belonging in the Startup Ecosystem” featured esteemed doctors and startup founders, providing valuable insights into navigating the entrepreneurial landscape.

Numerous workshops enriched the week, covering diverse topics including digital currency, IoT, and seminars on resilience in entrepreneurship with the theme “Dealing with Failures as an Entrepreneur.”

The Faculty of the University of Sindh, Old Campus, and Mehran University of Engineering and Technology honored NIC Hyderabad for the 2-Day training of the Faculty Entrepreneurial Development Program. Students from NUML, University of Sufism, University of Sindh, and Rockford School actively participated in various sessions throughout the week.

Financial literacy sessions by Meezan Bank and Faysal Bank added a practical dimension to the week, while Meezan Bank and Basecamp Data Solutions conducted a 3-day Job Fair, providing valuable networking opportunities.

Venture capitalist Zain Moosa graced the event, engaging with startups and imparting knowledge on attracting investment. The week concluded with a showcase of innovative products by the startups. A noteworthy moment was the visit of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to the facility during the week, underscoring the significance of NIC Hyderabad in the entrepreneurial landscape.
